Song Fest Super Stars!

Over 140 Cornish pupils sing to the rafters of Plymouth Pavilions

Congratulations to 8 of our wonderful Year 6 students who sang at the Plymouth Pavilions on the 16th March. Songs included Hope, Try Everything and Don't Stop Me Now which reflected their exuberant energy. It was a fantastic feeling to be part of this live performance after 3 years of being unable to do it in this way. The audience loved it and what a great way to showcase the singing talent we have here at St Cleer! A special thank you to Mr Warwick for preparing the children so well and to the families that encouraged their children to go for it and have fun! We are incredibly proud of you!

St Cleer School Song!

...and not just our school but our whole community - be kind at St Cleer!
In a World where kindness is needed increasingly urgently, thank you to your children for sharing thier love of singing and infectious enthusiasm on a sunny Friday!

Learning that our individual contributions are part of a bigger community is so important - thank you year 6 for making your part count!

World Book Day and School Song Rehearsal

Happy 25th World book Day!

This year we have been inspired by the theme heroes - on site today we have Sir Thomas Moore, Marie Curie, Superwoman, Harry Potter, doctors, paramedics and many more. Heroes come in all forms and even better when in a book!
The children have also been busy rehearsing the school song which we will share with parents in the playground tomorrow - see you there!

Penlee Disaster Remembered - 40th Anniversary 19th December

Thank you Martin Brockman for sharing your incredible family story linked to the Penlee disaster with our Key Stage 2 children today. Year 4 to Year 6 joined Martin via Zoom to learn more about how this disaster affected Martin's life forever. Family photographs, memorabilia and heart felt experiences were shared. We all felt so privileged to hear about the events as they unfolded and how it has impacted on life since. We have been busy filling the yellow wellies to support the fantastic work that the RNLI have always done and continue to do to keep people safe in the waters that surround our stunning coastline. We have been humbled and inspired in equal measure.
