Well done everyone for a really successful Autumn term! Jam-packed with learning, trips and adventures. It was lovely to celebrate our values champions in assembly today and we were surprised by a musical rendition to ring in the Christmas break. Thank you again to mole Valley Farmers for our lovely Christmas tree. Have a peaceful Christmas and see you in 2025 for the Spring term.
As always, it was lovely to spend time with the community together in St Cleer church. Thank you to Mrs Harris for leading the singing for us. The 12 days of Christmas and the beautiful singing from our choir were definite highlights. Thank you to the student leaders and team captains for sharing their Christmas reflections and to you - our parents, family and friends - for making it a special time together.
Thank you to year 3 and year 4 who contributed a tree this year to the Christmas tree festival at St Cleer church. We are looking forward to seeing it up close when we visit the church for our Christmas celebration on Friday.
I thoroughly enjoyed our 3km round trip run to Trevethy Quoit and back today with running club. Thank you so much to our parent volunteers who make this lunchtime run possible. I am looking forward to some more adventures with the team in Spring term! Keep running!
If anyone sees Twinkle anywhere please let her know I am looking for her! This photo was found in my office. Can you believe that she had the nerve to kick back and relax - with her feet on my desk?! I will be firm but fair, I promise; but something has to be done about this. All information or help appreciated! Well done all for a fabulous Elf day in support of Alzheimer's UK!
Well done to our 6 year 5 and 6 pupils who represented the school so well at the Bridge Schools' interschools football tournament on Thursday. They showed all of our values and encouraged each other right to the end finishing with a well-deserved win in the final game. Well done to you all for really going for it and working as a team so well!
Last week Mrs Linsley and I visited Great Trethew Trekking with 10 of our students to meet some of their gorgeous horses. We enjoyed grooming, saddling up, walking and rising them in the autumnal sunshine. A wonderful experience for all involved.
Another fantastic effort from all of those who made it to the Cross Country Race at Lanhydrock on Friday. A superb effort from everyone on the day in what I think is the toughest course of the season!
This week we welcomed Mrs Harris to the team. The children enjoyed their first singing assembly with her and she was very impressed by their musical talents. Year 1 and Year 2 enjoyed exploring wind instruments in their music lesson with her too.
Thank you to everyone who came to join us to celebrate Harvest Festival this afternoon. There was a generous donation from the community to the Liskeard Food Bank who also attended in support. Have a lovely half term and see you on the 4th November.
