E-safety

Children now spend a lot of their time online. This can be a great way to connect with friends and family, learn new things, explore or even get help with homework.

However, children also face risks when using the internet such as seeing inappropriate content or cyberbullying. As adults, we have a responsibility to safeguard the children in an online world which is now such an integral part of the everyday life of children.

As with all other risks, it is impossible to eliminate those risks completely. It is therefore essential for us as a school to provide good educational provision to build pupils’ resilience to the risks to which they may be exposed, so that they have the confidence and skills to face and deal with these risks.

By understanding and talking about the dangers, you can help keep your child safe online.
