It was an absolute pleasure to spend the day with these students at Callington Community School for the Diana Anti-Bullying Ambassador training event February 2020. These students take up the mantle as peer supporters and school innovators in our endeavours to be kinder to each other and support kindness when it is most needed. Watch this space!
A picture is worth a thousand words! What a stunning photo that captures the impact that a real life experience can have on a child. Thank you so much to the EYFS team and the parents who ensured that the children brought their learning about the sea (and pirates and mermaids!) to life this week.
The Cornish Times took the time to celebrate the recent Bridge Schools ECO songs performance at St Martin's Church in Liskeard. It was a magical day. Well done to all of the ECO team children who created the song and to those who performed it on the day.
I am looking forward to seeing how the project evolves.
It put such a smile on my face to see the children begin their Yoga classes with Christina today. Learning to breathe and focus your intention on the moment is one of the best skills a person can have in life.
A life long skill that is a fantastic tool to have in your repertoire.
Really well done to the 26 children who took part in the cross country event last Friday.
We had 3 finish in the top 10!
(Ollie 2nd, Jenson 5th & Talula 9th (1st girl!).
The children thoroughly enjoyed the bogs and mud!
Thank you for inspiring me to keep running!
Another great PTA event on the horizon! Save the date and come along!
Well done to the KS2 ECO team children who sang their climate inspired 'A great song!' at St Martin's Church in Liskeard on Tuesday.
The whole team will share their song with the school in assembly.
Well done ECO team - we are very proud of you all!
It is no secret that Education is under pressure in the current financial climate to meet the needs of the curriculum. This is something that we manage very well but with a little help can do even better. The arts continue to be very important to us at St Cleer and we wanted to thank the PTA for helping us to fund the recent art workshops with Sean Hewitt. The school has benefited greatly from these workshops and we appreciate the PTA's support in this. The team also visited the school library and are full of ideas to make this a vibrant and special place for us all.
Thank you so much for your support!
In assembly this week, we gathered ideas that might make a difference in the world.
We thought about:
- Reducing plastics
- Being kind
- Offering help
- Thinking about how we travel
- Keeping our area clean
- Taking responsibility for ourselves
We also talked about ECO bricks and how we might be able to create some of these ourselves to re-use plastic that might go to waste and end up is our seas and on our beaches. Watch this space to see if we can bring this ideas into reality.

It might only be the first week of a new term but we have been busy being creative and exploring the concept of kindness, peace and being responsible for making our world a better place. Thank you to Sean Hewitt for the workshops he has been running this week and he will be back again with us for one more next week.
