We are looking to recruit an Assistant Headteacher to play a key role in the management of Wadebridge Primary Academy under the guidance of the Head Teacher. The school has need of a highly skilled, experienced individual to help to improve learning and outcomes for children. The successful candidate will receive regular release time from their current role in order to fulfil this position.

Bridge Schools Trust would like to invite applications from internal applicants for the position of Head of School at Polruan Primary Academy. This is a full time (1.00Fte) position consisting of a maximum of 0.8Fte Teaching commitment (KS2) and a minimum of 0.2Fte Leadership time.

Our ideal candidate will possess the talent, vision and belief to lead a successful learning community with energy and enthusiasm, while pursuing our drive for the highest standards across all subjects at all stages. In leading the Academy, your dynamism will inspire and motivate all staff and students of all abilities, removing barriers and tackling disadvantage, so that everyone can be the best they can be.
Interviews will be held during the week commencing Monday 15th June 2020. The interview will consist of a presentation to Trustees, the Chief Executive, Area Executive Heads, Chair of governors and other interested parties. You will be asked to deliver a PowerPoint presentation entitled ‘How I would measure my impact as Head of School, to improve outcomes for children.’ This will be followed by an interview. A data reading and letter writing task will also be completed.

The start date for the successful candidate will be the 1st September 2020, with an agreed induction period during July.
